I hope everyone had a Blessed Christmas and I would like to wish everyone a Happy & prosperous New Year. It’s looking a little Gingy at Grandma’s Sewing Studio. I decided to post pics of how I tied all the gingerbread projects in with purchased gingerbread items to decorate. I also have lots of regular Christmas stuff from many years past that I like to decorate with.
This is a Binky that I am going to give my sweet grandson. I hope all of you had a blessed Christmas day.
Merry Christmas to all you bloggers. May you be blessed. This is a garland that I made using a piece of rope, fabric strips, pieces of ribbon, embellishment threads, mesh and ornaments that I purchased at Hancock Fabric.
This is a set of mug rugs that I downloaded from Oma’s Place. I still have one more left to do but run out of spray adhesive. They are made up of canvas, quilt batting and cotton fabric. I think its time for a new camera. These pics look blurry too.
I purchased a red table runner with tassels on each end and then I embroidered these cute gingerbread people on it. I also decided to add these pretty lime green bows on each end where it overlapped the table.
Candle Mat and Candle Wrap that I downloaded from Oma”s Place.
I have taken about 4 pics of these ornaments and they keep coming out blurred. I am not sure if its the camera or because they are small. They look so much better in person.
I found these cute plaid place mats at Tuesday Morning and decided they would be cute with little gingerbread people embroidered on them in the corner. I have only done two of the place mats so far but plan to have four in the end. Two of the little girl and two of the little boy. Once I got started sewing on them, I began to wonder which side was the correct side to put the gingerbread person on but quickly decided that I liked it better on the right hand side. I will have to research this for future reference though. I have not decided what I want done with the napkins or napkin rings yet.
